When Pastor Kevin began his journey of starting a church in the West Valley of Phoenix, his thought was; "People need to be able to worship without shame for what they have been through and without fear of being judged." It was with this very thought The Rock was launched in March of 1997. Although his messages are challenging, people also find them encouraging with the sense of humor he incorporates in his teachings. He realizes we all encounter difficulties and we all have blown it. But ultimately he believes and teaches through God's love we can conquer anything and live free in our spiritual lives with God. As you follow him as a Pastor and a leader you will witness the fact he is the example of The Rock Church motto; "A church that cares where you're going... and NOT where you've been!"

Pastor M'Lisa is the Co-Founder of The Rock with her husband. The Rock is a non-denominational church in the West Valley of Phoenix. She has a powerful testimony which has been a source of strength to many through the years. She shares her story and faith with an undeniable strength which is contagious. When she teaches it is normal for lives to be changed and encouraged because she truly believes there is good in every person. Her desire is to see a generational church where each person follows God and fulfills the God-given purpose for their lives. Her love for God and others is obvious and it is the very reason people repeatedly say the same thing about her; "She's real!"
